Fledge

The budgeting app for leaving home and heading to uni.

A simple budgeting app for young people starting out. Plan what you have to pay, what you have coming in and what is left over each month — then log what actually happened, see where it went, and adjust the next month accordingly. No bank connection to set up.

What you get

Everything you actually need.

Budgeting that shows what is actually left

Budgeting in Fledge starts with two lists: what you have to pay — rent, phone, travel, the gym — and what you have coming in from a job, loan or family. Fledge does the sum and shows the one number that matters: what is actually left this month. The first bit of budgeting control most people never had leaving home.

Set up your rent and bills once

Anything that repeats — rent, a subscription, a student-loan drop, payday — gets entered once and then appears every month. Change it and Fledge asks whether you mean this month, this month onwards, or a correction to every one. A payment due on the 31st still lands in February.

Budget, then log what actually happened

A plan is only half of budgeting. Put in what you really spent as the month goes, see it against what you budgeted, and watch the gap. Next month you set a budget that matches real life — which is how budgeting actually starts to stick.

Savings pots for the things you are working towards

A festival, a deposit, a trip home, an emergency buffer. Each pot has its own balance and target, and moving money into one takes a tap and never counts as spending — so saving feels like progress, not sacrifice.

Who it is for

For the first time the money is yours to manage.

Moving out, starting uni, or into a first flat and a first job — the moment the rent, the bills and the food shop all land on you at once, usually with a student loan or a first wage that has to stretch further than it looks.

Fledge is built for exactly that: budgeting made simple. Not a corporate finance dashboard and not a bank app — a calm, simple place to see what you have to pay, what is coming in, and what is genuinely yours to spend.

Plan, then adjust

Budgeting that learns from last month.

Set the budget at the start of the month, live your life, and record what really happened as you go. At month end you can see exactly where the plan and reality parted ways.

Then you carry that forward: nudge next month’s budget to fit what you actually spend. Over a few months your budgeting stops being a guess and starts being a tool you trust — because every number in it is one you put there.

Deliberately simple

Nothing to connect, nothing to categorise.

No bank login, no rules engine deciding what a coffee is, no onboarding wizard. Fledge is manual on purpose, which is what makes it quick enough to actually keep up with when you are 19 and busy.

It works in whatever currency you think in, and the figure on the front screen is one you can trust — because you are the one who put it there.
