Task2

Who is doing what, and what do I need to do.

A shared task board for the people who do the work, with a column for each person so you can see at a glance who is carrying what. Anyone can raise a task, from the board at the office or from a phone out on site with a photo. A manager puts a name on it, and whoever finishes it leaves a note saying what was done.

What you get

Everything you actually need.

A column per person

You can see at a glance who is carrying what. Assign or reassign tasks by dragging a task card into someone’s column, and a notification goes out so people know what has landed on them.

Late beats urgent

A late Low job sorts above an on-time Critical one, because the thing you need to see first is what has slipped, not what was labelled loudest.

Out on site?

See something that needs doing, take a quick photo and upload it with your task. Update existing tasks with more photos as the work progresses, so the job is described by what is actually there rather than by what somebody remembered to type.

Repeating work

Each occurrence is a real task, so the Tuesday one can go to somebody else without affecting the rest of the series.

Task history

Each task carries a history of who it was assigned to and what work has been completed so far - so reassigning it hands over the context too, not just the title.

Always on it

The web board is live now. The phone app for iPhone and Android follows, so you can always see your list and raise new tasks as they come up, wherever the work is.

Who it is for

Built to ease your day.

Reminder lists are great and messages to other people are easy. What neither of them tells you is the whole picture: what there is to do, who there is to do it, and when it needs to be done. Task2 puts all of that in one place.

It is built for a small team where the work arrives from everywhere - a phone call, a site visit, somebody walking past a job that needs doing - and somebody has to decide who picks it up.

How it works

Raise it, give it to somebody, finish it.

Anyone can add tasks, from the board at the office or from a phone out and about, complete with a photo. Until a task is assigned it waits in a column where everyone can see it.

A manager puts a name on it, from the board or from the phone. Whoever has it then completes it or reassigns it, and every task holds a log - so you can see what has been done, or ask for something more.

What it costs

One plan. Really simple.

One price for the company, and as many people as need it: £150 a month including five people, then £4.50 a month for each person above that. Everything is included - the board, the task list, repeating work, photos on a task, the full activity history and unlimited tasks.

Fifteen free days to try it, and you can cancel any time. The Task2 site has the full pricing, the FAQ and the sign-up.
